Special Features

Table Backgrounds

If other players’ prove a distraction for you, Juicy Stakes’ poker client allows you to change to a 'simple' table view without avatars or table characters. Whether in a tournament or a ring game you can shut them off by simply clicking on the Dealer's chip tray and selecting the Background tab. There you’ll find two table options available, classic and simple.

Resizable Game Tables

Want to change the size of the poker window? Our new resizable table option is located on the bottom left of every gaming table. Simply click and drag the corner to get a screen size of your choice. Or, select our ready to go tiling, cascade, minimize or maximum sized options.

Web Based Hand History

Playing online poker has some big advantages like the ability to view your game play through hand histories. Hand history records can be a major factor in improving your poker game. Juicy Stakes shows hand histories in a unique and shareable format. If you want to see a hand, just click the 'last hand' button in the top left corner of your game screen.

Changing Your Screen Name

At Juicy Stakes we believe that part of what makes online poker great is the ability to play with anonymity. We have gone out of our way to protect our players by allowing them to change their screen names once every seven days. If you would like to change your screen name, simply go to the My Account section while logged in to juicystakes.com. Then click the edit button found next to your Screen Name and you'll be allowed to create/change your online poker nickname.

Poker Game Interface

Poker Tables

At Juicy Stakes both ring games and tournaments are available to play in. Once you’re seated at the tables you’ll quickly notice how easy to use our poker interface is and with the large, highly-visible action buttons you’ll never have to pause to wonder about the controls. While these buttons are used for all of your primary actions, you can also find more tools and features available to you depending on the game format you're playing - No Limit, Limit or Fixed Limit.

Avatars/Characters

When you sit down at one of our poker tables you will appear as one of a number of realistic characters. Your character will even move to positions according to your actions including a 'hands at their side' action should you sit out, or a 'lean forward' while you're in the game.

If you’re not interested in seeing any realistic characters at the table, Juicy Stakes allows you to remove all characters from the poker table and also gives you the option of a simplified background.

Action Buttons

Size matters and we know it. You will love our over sized action buttons for the most important part of the game interface. These large buttons displayed in multiple colors let you take whichever action you choose - Fold, Check or Bet. If you're choosing to Bet, be sure to read on about your options should you be playing a pot limit or no limit game.

Pre-Action Buttons

Looking to save some time? Before it’s your turn to act, the Pre-Action Buttons will appear. You can click on these to toggle an action to be performed automatically when it's your turn.

Placing Bets

When it’s time to put the pressure on your opponents you can raise the bet in a few ways. We provide you with three quick raise buttons which allow you to raise ½ the pot, the entire pot amount or go all-in, depending on your game format (i.e. Pot Limit or No Limit).

If none of those three options suit you then you can change the amount of the bet or raise amount with our slider bar. To use it, just use your mouse to pull the bar to the right to increase the bet. The further you go to the right, the more you will set for the bet amount. Or, if you have an exact amount in mind, you may also choose to simply type the amount in directly to the white text box.

Game Tools

Juicy Stakes’ poker interface has four tools displayed as tabs on the bottom left of the poker client game screen: Chat, Notes, Stats and Info. These tools will allow you to view different elements of the game without ever leaving the online poker table.

Chat

Chat will automatically be shown as your default visible tab. In this window you'll see a review of all the action that has happened at the table including: Dealer Chat, Announcements, and of course, Player's chat. We’ve color coded all of these different types of messages so you’ll be able to easily determine the importance of the messages.

If you want make a comment to the other players at the table, simply click in the white chat box space, type what you have to say and hit enter. We only ask that you follow poker room etiquette and keep your comments friendly, and of course, don't discuss your hand while it's still in play.

If you’re not a chatter, you can shut off your chat by using the Options window, found at the bottom right. You can also select what aspects of chat you silence including: the Dealer, Summary or Everything. You can also choose to view Chat only from players, and not from observers or railbirds. If a specific player is bothering you, you can use the Notes tab to select a player and mute them, by clicking 'ignore'.

Notes

The Notes tab is handy for jotting down observations about the play of other players at your table. You can refer to these notes throughout the game or even at future tables should you meet that player again.

A drop down menu will show a list of all the players at your table. Just pick the player you want to make a note on and type it in. If you’re looking for a quick way to label a player, we have some easy to use Rating Icons for quick tagging.

Stats

The Stats tool automatically tracks your statistical history. Your stats can be reset at anytime should you wish to track your progress in a new game or start using a new poker strategy and want assess its effectiveness.
